twitter-rific

been twittering for a couple of days now and am pretty amazed at this whole online movement.  even experienced an unexpected customer service twitter...
after posting a twitter about being disappointed with vista print, i soon receieved an @inacard reply asking if there was something they could help me with.  in 140 characters i was able to express my problem and awoke this morning with a direct message stating that my re-order shipping has been waived and that my account has been reiembursed.
now, you tell me, why couldn't the customer service lady i spoke to yesterday on the phone have done that for me right then and there?
really makes me think that the vista print twitter should replace the entire vista print customer service department!

the first time i saw this picture, i thought it was just the cutest picture ever of our president and the new family dog, bo.

comic sans, i love to hate it

can't say that i am a fan of the font comic sans.  however i do love this clever t-shirt by veer using comic sans characters to render the human heart.  "love it, love to hate it, or hate that you love it."

after the party is over, thank you cards MUST be sent out!!!
these are the corresponding thank you notes to the mad hatter invitiations my niece will be sending out to express her gratitude to all the kids that attended her party and all the wonderful gifts she received.


and no i don't think a child is ever too young (or too old) to learn the etiquette of writing a thank you note.   :o)

my niece had her mad hatter tea party yesterday and it was the most fun filled children's party i've ever been to.  and the most colorful!  big paper flowers and decorative lanterns were strung above the main table as kids ate with colorful mismatched place settings.  little flower arrangements lined across the center of the table adding even more vibrant colors to the setting.
 

the activities ranged from decorating your own hat, to face painting and of course as my niece had requested, a piñata!



my mom made a hat cake to resemble the invitations with a side of equally fun stacked cupcakes which the kids (and a few parents) gobbled up in an instant.
